1. About Wellstep

Wellstep is owned and operated by Wellstep AB, org.nr 559322-5187, Johannefredsgatan 4, 431 53 Mölndal SWEDEN.

2. General

Personal data is information that can be used individually or in combination with other data to identify, locate or contact a living, physical person. It may include, for example, name, telephone number or email address.

Processing of personal data means all the ways in which personal data is handled, the collection, analysis and storage of personal data.

A data controller is an organisation that determines for what purposes personal data is processed and how it is processed. A data processor is anybody who processes personal data on behalf of a controller.

3. Controller

Wellstep AB, org. no 559322-5187, is the data controller for the processing of your data.

4. What kind of information do we collect?

Ordering a service

When an order for a competition is placed via the website or otherwise, the following personal data may be stored of the contact person(s) placing the order:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Company name
  • Delivery address
  • Invoice address

When uploading a file in the order flow, this file is stored with the following content for all participants:

  • Name
  • Email address

Challenges

For challenges, the following personal data is stored:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Steps and registered activities

Demo login request

When requesting a demo login to the service by filling in a form on the website or by email/telephone, the following personal data of the person making the request is stored:

  • Name
  • Company name
  • Email address

5. Cookies

The website (www.wellstep.se) and the service (login via computer or in the app) use cookies – small text files that are placed on your computer to help the website provide you with a better user experience. In general, cookies are used to maintain user preferences, store information about things like shopping carts, and provide anonymized tracking information to third-party applications like Google Analytics. Simply put, cookies will improve your user experience

If you do not want to allow cookies, you can set your browser accordingly.

6. How do we use your data?

Ordering a service

We need personal data about you as a contact person to handle any practicalities of setting up your competition. When ordering pedometers, your name, email address and phone number will be sent to the shipping company handling the delivery.

Wellstep may use personal data to send offers to the customer of a competition.

Challenge

To start a competition, everyone needs their login details which will be emailed to each participant.

Participants’ names will be published in the competition (can be hidden if you wish). Email addresses will not be visible to other participants in the competition, except any administrators.

Demo login request

The personal data is used to administer the possibility of accessing additional information about our competitions prior to purchase, to provide feedback about the services and to send offers on them.

7. What is the legal basis for processing?

Personal data is collected and processed to conclude and fulfilling contracts. We process your data only to the extent necessary to administer the customer relationship and to enable Wellstep to fulfil its obligations to you.

8. How long is the data stored?

Personal data of the contact person/customer is stored for 24 months from the date of the last order, after which the personal data is deleted.

Personal data on demo requests are stored for 12 months, after which they are deleted.

Personal data of participants in competitions are stored for 6 months after the end date of the competition, after which they are deleted.

9. Where is the personal data stored?

All data is stored within the EU.

10. Who may access your personal data?

We will not sell personal data to third parties.

Your personal data may be disclosed to public authorities as required by law or to any partners providing support services to Wellstep, including accounting, IT or logistics services. To the extent applicable, personal data processing agreements have been concluded with these partners.

11. Data security

Wellstep is committed to protecting the security of your data. We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of your data. All information provided to us is stored on secure servers. We employ reasonable protections for your information that are appropriate to its sensitivity. This includes using Transport Layer Security (“TLS”) to encrypt many of our Services, in particular the transfer of data between your browser and our servers, and between the mobile app and our servers.

12. Google Fit

This paragraph describes how we process your personal data (steps) from Google Fit.

Participants in walking competitions may connect their Google Fit account to Wellstep, provided this has been enabled by the competition administrator. Connecting to Google Fit is at the discretion of each participant and there is no requirement to do so to participate in a walking competition.

Connecting Google Fit means that steps are automatically downloaded from Google Fit to the competition and participants do not need to record their steps manually.

The use of data received from Google Fit will comply with the Google Fit Developer and User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

12.1. How do we access steps from Google Fit

To connect their Google Fit account to Wellstep, the participant clicks on “Connect apps/devices” on the competition page and follows the instructions. In this process, a so-called “OAuth consent screen” where the participant authorizes Wellstep to read physical activity information from Google Fit.

12.2. What data is retrieved from Google Fit?

The only data we collect from Google Fit is the aggregated number of steps per date (not time). No other data is retrieved from Google Fit. Inga övriga data hämtas från Google Fit.

12.3. When are steps retrieved from Google Fit?

Steps are retrieved from Google Fit when participants log in to the competition and will be saved in Wellstep on the date the steps were completed.

12.4. How are the steps from Google Fit used?

The steps are summed up together with other steps recorded manually or from other types of activities recorded and presented in the walking competition in tables with the best participants and teams and a virtual route with different sub-goals. Only the total number of steps is presented to other competitors, provided that the competitor has not chosen to hide his/her result (see section 6). The number of steps is never shared with anyone outside the competition in which the competitor is participating.

12.5. What is the legal basis for using steps from Google Fit?

Steps are collected and processed to conclude and fulfil the contract to organise a walking competition. We process your data only to the extent necessary to administer the customer relationship and to enable Wellstep to fulfil its obligations to you.

12.6. How long will we keep your steps from Google Fit?

Steps from Google Fit are saved for 6 months after the end date of the competition, after which the steps and other personal data of competition participants are deleted. The reason why it is saved after the competition is finished is that administrators and participants want to be able to access competition results after the competition is finished in order to follow up on the results and designate possible winners. winner of the competition.

12.7. Who may receive information about steps from Google Fit?

We will not sell or share any information from Google Fit with third parties and will not process participants’ personal data for marketing purposes.

12.8. How to remove the connection to Google Fit?

Go to the Google Fit app and Settings for connected apps. Here, click on Wellstep and “Disconnect”. Once this is done, Wellstep will no longer be able to retrieve any type of data from Google Fit.

12. Your rights

You have certain rights when we collect and process your personal data. You have the right to:

  1. Request an extract of the personal data we process and how they are processed;
  2. Request correction of any inaccurate data;
  3. Request to be deleted. However, this can only be done unless Wellstep is entitled to retain the data on some other legal basis. Please note that you will not be able to participate in a competition if you request the deletion of your data.
  4. Request a restriction of processing in certain circumstances, such as in the meantime, a question about the accuracy of the data is being investigated.
